This feature is probably one of the timeliest ones thus far on the anatomie website, and not only because it is a brand new year and everyone is making their resolution plans, but mainly so because it addresses the issues concerning why so many of us can’t won’t, don’t exercise or adapt a healthy lifestyle. This feature brings with it some possible solutions to these “Berlin Walls” that seem to prevent us from really enjoying the many benefits that come along with having a positive physical image.Through several years of listening to why folks haven’t included wellness into their daily activities, we at anatomie agree that there are some valid reasons –– as to why so many of us struggle to make a decision so imperative to our lives. Here are thought provoking answers that may assist your decision making for this year:
When you exercise, challenge your body and place it under an intensity that you’re not accustomed to, you’re going to feel somewhat tired somewhat stressed, that is the natural reaction, and you will easily recover. So especially if you’ve only just begun, expect to leave tired more rapidly than a seasoned fitness enthusiast or someone who has been at it for a longer period. The good news is, every time you work out, you get stronger, faster, build more endurance and you get closer to achieving your goal(s). You must remain steadfast, vigilant; and committed and don’t give up.
You have to make the time. Many of our local working sports men and women make the time to train and eat appropriately. We at anatomie make the time to live the healthy lifestyle…everyday. All it takes is at minimum 45 mins a day to get some physical activity in. How is that we make the time to do things that we like that may not be important as managing our health? You can try early in the morning or late evening, bottom line is ‘find the time’. How about weekends? Have you considered that? Structure a weekly menu plan, most times we know what we want to eat, we have food preferences. Add healthy choices to your list and prepare them well.
Some gyms are more expensive than others; it totally depends on your geographical location, and venturing too far outside of your vicinity is a personal decision. The cheapest gyms that still offer all the amenities in a clean safe environment are within the Chaguanas area and if you’re unable to get there, then I suggest you start using your community facilities. Eating healthy is not expensive as most folks thinks it is, as a matter of fact it is quite the opposite. The wide selections of healthy foods are economical and available; you simply have to learn what they are and develop fresh and exciting ways to prepare them so that they become enjoyable.
I am sick, I can’t exercise, my doctor says to take it easy” OR “I feel great and I’m not fat, why do I need to exercise?
You’re probably ill because your body is weak. Regular exercise, along with a personalized dietary and supplement plan makes your physical, mental and functional strong…very strong. And whether you feel well or not; or think you are the ideal weight, exercise and nutrition will significantly increase your chances of not developing some sort of major illness and help you manage your weight. However, if your doctor instructs you to take it easy then following his or her instructions may be in your best interest and when given the okay to start a regular exercise program, care should be taken in the pace and intensity in which you start.
We admit that the gym can after some time become boring and monotonous, especially if you’re not motivated and it seems as if the gym instructors just don’t seem to be interested in you – but in their defense, it’s mainly because the ratio of instructor to client at any gym is to high and therefore you’d get neglected…a lot – but there are alternatives, they include getting involved in a sport of your choice; hiring a personal trainer; investing in some DVDs and home workout programs. Anatomie offers an array of features, articles and exercises which you can take advantage of, that are fun as they are informative. So, logon now and click your way to a healthier year!
